The Villa Sfakoi is located in, what is arguably, one of the most desirable and scenic areas of the island of Corfu. It is set in a majestic position at the end of a track amongst the olive groves on the hillside above the deserted hamlet of Kelia. It enjoys uninterrupted, breathtaking views looking down over Kassiopi to the sea and the mountains of Albania beyond. The various terraces, secluded seating areas and private pool take full advantage of the wonderful panoramic views and offer the perfect environment in which to relax and unwind in comfort – watching the passing ferries and the ever changing light on the sea and mountains beyond.

Villa Sfakoi is a large stone-built house, mainly on one level. It sits alone in its own quiet & secluded 2.5 acre plot of olive grove and rocky hillside. It is a unique property which offers the best of all worlds. It is very traditional in style, built to the highest standards by highly skilled local craftsman using stone from the plot on which the villa stands and mellow, salvaged roof tiles, yet it enjoys all the conveniences of a modern building. The garden has been carefully planned to combine the best of the Mediterranean and English traditions. The English owners took immense trouble to create a building which is at one with the landscape in which it sits.

The house features an extremely spacious vaulted open plan sitting room leading out on to a wonderful part-covered terrace which spans the entire length of the house. It is the most popular area with our visitors, who love the combination of sun or shaded comfortable seating areas combined with a large dining area. It is the perfect place in which to while away the hours and enjoy a leisurely meal. The house has been furnished in an understated manner, enhanced by some carefully chosen articles of English and Corfiot antique furniture and memorabilia

One of the many great strengths of this property is that it has so much to offer a wide variety of visitors. It offers seclusion & privacy & yet it is within minutes drive of all the local amenities. For families with young children - the pool area is securely gated with lockable gates & the living areas and bedrooms are all on one level. A full size wooden cot with nets & bedding, a high chair & a listening alarm are all available. Families with older children or family groups also love this house because it has so many different terrace & seating areas, both inside & out, so that everyone can have their own space in which to relax or have fun.

This stunning villa is very well situated for access to the many good local beaches & fishing villages and to all the facilities of Kassiopi (shops, tavernas & restaurants, boat hire & trips and night-life) which are within walking range. Water sports & horse riding are available very locally. The unspoilt mountainous interior of the Island is only a short drive away and there are lovely walks from the property up into the hills behind.
